A Historical and Geographical Introduction of Sonipat District, Haryana

Abstract

In recent years the strategy of regional development planning is attaining greater importance and is the 6focal point of government and development agencies. Thus the emphasis on regional development is understandable. In this paper an attempt has been made to assess the need for regional development. This paper describes historical and geographical factors that play a major role in the study area development. The district of Sonipat in the Indian state of Haryana has a rich and varied history. It has seen the development of time through several historical eras.
